Toby the Long necked Tortoise
In December 2007 Glen Huon Primary School celebrated the completion of the Art Smart Project funded by The Ardross Group. The mosaic is called "Toby the long necked Tortoise" and will be installed in the Stage 8 Park on Hunter Circle in early 2008.
The Mosaic is 3.4mx3.4m in size so it's little wonder that it took just over 12 months to complete. Over 60 students were involved from years 5, 6 and 7 learning new skills from drawing and design to tile cutting, gluing and grouting - all kids still have their fingers so it was a great success.
Creek Clean up Day
Friends of MillBridge had another creek clean up day in November with 18 volunteers filling a skip bin with rubbish.
